(V) Members present: Roger Corman (V) Nick Levine (V) Duane Rettig (V) JonL White (V) President Ernst van Waning called the meeting to order at 22:10 UTC with a quorum of voting members present. Next meeting to be held 01 February 2007 at 22:00 UTC, and approved without dissent. Minutes of 14 December 2006 meeting were approved without dissent. P. Lindahl moved to accept the minutes. N. Levine seconded. Agenda items: ILC 2007 - N. Levine happily reports that we are 33% of the way to our predetermined break-even point in registrations. D. Rettig and R. Corman each state that they will be registering fairly soon. ILC 2007 Papers - JonL White and C. Shapiro are presently processing the abstract submissions received. Several of the abstracts are too thin on substance, so the authors will be requested to provide more information about the intended topics. N. Levine volunteered to read some papers during his upcoming trans-Atlantic flight, if he receives the files in time to print them beforehand. ILC 2007 Invited Speakers - JonL White has filled all but one of the reserved time slots at this time. He has one prospective speaker in reserve, should a cancellation or other need arise. ILC 2007 Tutorials - D. Rettig replies that he is on schedule for his upcoming tutorial. LISP tutorial topics mentioned during open discussion included: garbage collection, math, and the perennial favourite, introduction to LISP. Contact with Erik Enge - N. Levine has been in contact, and after some discussions with him, reported that some proposals to the board would be forthcoming in the future as a result of these discussions. D.
